It's the Thanksgiving season and almost everyone likes to help those less fortunate. This past Saturday, SJC Rotarians and Interactors were overwhelmed by the donations from local shoppers who wanted to help others in our community.
Collections of food from shoppers at local supermarkets were transported to the SJC Rotary Scout Hut where Interact members assembled the food bags and distributed them to the families.
More than 40 families picked up a bag of enough food to create a Thanksgiving meal.
The Marine Corps sent a truck to pick up enough food to help more than 100 enlisted Marine families at Camp Pendleton enjoy a home-style Thanksgiving.
