Rotary's Highest Honor for Non-Rotarians

On Friday evening, Rotary International Director Vicki Puliz and District Governor Dan Ouweleen presented Dr. Charles "Chuck" Tozzer as the esteemed recipient of the “Rotary Award for Excellence in Service to Humanity,” the highest recognition given to a non-Rotarian. This honor is a testament to Dr. Tozzer's exceptional humanitarian dedication.

For three decades, Dr. Tozzer has devoted his career to providing free dental clinics to children. With over 300 clinics under his belt, his team has served more than 31,000 patients, providing over $13 million in free services. His efforts have mobilized 2,000 volunteers, garnered support from ten dental schools, and inspired eleven Rotary clubs to contribute to his cause.

Dr. Tozzer's remarkable contributions perfectly align with Rotary's ideals of improving lives. Rotary proudly recognizes his relentless service and presented him this prestigious award—a true reflection of his selfless efforts.

Typical of Dr. Tozzer's dedication to serving others, on Saturday morning he was holding another free dental clinic in Tustin.
