Showing Up

"Showing up" is a phrase that's close to my heart. Those values like tenacity, commitment, and integrity that I learned early in life from my Rotarian dad continue to guide me. Those values are present in every Rotary club but magic happens when a club is firing on all cylinders, when every member participates and works together.

"The secret of getting ahead is getting started." - Mark Twain

The folks we see every meeting are people driven by a love for service, each one putting their unique spin on our projects and fundraising events. They genuinely enjoy making a difference. And the fun and camaraderie we share with jokes and gentle teasing while pursuing our goals.

Our meetings are like a big, boisterous family of people who show up because they want to, not because they have to. It's all of us, with our different backgrounds, united by the drive to do something good and bringing our own perspective and skills to solve problems. It propels us forward, challenging us to tackle bigger challenges.

What makes a good Rotary club great? No surprises here – it's who shows up!
