SJC Youth Programs

This is a quick sampling of some of the incredible youth projects that are part of SJC Rotary.

Under the leadership of Chairman Mike Darnold, our commitment to kids is considered the “gold standard” for Rotary Clubs in Rotary District 530.

RYLA – Rotary Youth Leadership Academy. This year our club sponsored 17 high school juniors to participate in the six-day leadership camp...www.ryla5320.org

Two students receive SJC Rotary scholarships from Mike Darnold.

Scholarships - This year our club provided 15 scholarships to graduates from our three local high schools.

Scouting - SJC Rotary underwrites Scouting by providing the SJC Rotary Scout Hut that is used by local troops. In addition, the facility is used to teach ASL classes to the local community.

SJC Interact members help prepare Thanksgiving boxes provided to families in need.

Interact Club - We sponsor the Interact Club at San Juan Hills High School. Due to COVID the student participation has softened over the last two years. To support more students through Rotary Service, we are combining this Interact club with the AVID Academy students at SJHHS.
