Brenda Galvan
Brenda Galvan graduated last year and received a $1,000 scholarship for SJC Rotary. She attended RYLA as camper and alumni. She's an amazing lady who now attends college in Claremont.
Kennedy Mason
Kennedy Mason received a $1,000 scholarship from our club two years ago. She has stayed in touch with Mike Darnold but seldom gets to meet with him. She’s currently a sophomore at Cal with a 4.0 GPA in Sociology. She’s accepted a grant to study children in Africa this summer. She and Mike had coffee today. He notes it is such a great honor to be a part of her life in a small way. Rotary does more good!
Emily
Emily is a freshman at SJHHS and participates with SJC Rotary's Interact/AVID students. She's had a very challenging past and most people in her circumstances would be bereft in victimhood. She is a bubbly young lady whose mom makes her cook for the family. She is a winner and will make something of her life.
